HOSPITUAL MEDICAL DISCLAIMER

Version 1.0 | Effective date: 6 August 2026

This Medical Disclaimer forms part of Hospitual’s Terms of Service. By creating an account, submitting a case, or using the platform, you acknowledge and accept the following.

This Medical Disclaimer should be read together with the applicable country addendum. The country addendum identifies the responsible Hospitual entity and provides country-specific emergency information. If this Medical Disclaimer conflicts with an applicable country addendum, the country addendum takes precedence to the extent of that conflict.

1.  Eligibility

Hospitual does not currently provide services to individuals under the age of 18.

If Hospitual or a participating clinician becomes aware that a submitted case relates to an individual under 18 years of age, the service may be paused, restricted, or declined.

2.  Informational and Second-Opinion Nature of the Service

The information, opinions, and radiology reports provided through Hospitual are intended solely for informational, advisory, and independent second-opinion purposes.

Radiology reviews are provided by appropriately registered specialist clinicians based exclusively on the imaging and clinical information submitted by the patient or referring clinician.

3.  Not a Substitute for Direct Clinical Care

Hospitual’s services do not replace the role of a patient’s GP, consultant, radiologist, hospital team, or treating clinician.

Reports and opinions are not intended to independently diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. They should not be used as a substitute for in-person clinical assessment, physical examination, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, or ongoing medical care.

No doctor-patient relationship is established for the purpose of ongoing clinical management, and Hospitual does not assume responsibility for the patient’s continuing care.

4.  No Emergency Service

Hospitual is not an emergency medical service and must not be used for urgent, emergency, or life-threatening situations.

If you believe you or another person may be experiencing a medical emergency, you must immediately contact the emergency services applicable to your location or attend your nearest emergency department. Country-specific emergency information is provided in the applicable country addendum.

5.  Scope and Limitations of Review

All reports and opinions are based solely on the images, documents, and clinical information provided at the time of submission.

The accuracy and completeness of any review may be limited by:

  • Image quality or completeness
  • Lack of access to full medical records
  • Absence of physical examination

  • Incomplete clinical history
  • Missing previous imaging or comparison studies
  • Technical limitations affecting submitted files or images

Accordingly, any findings, opinions, or recommendations must always be interpreted together with a full clinical assessment by the patient’s treating clinician.

6.  Clinical Responsibility

Clinical responsibility for diagnosis, treatment decisions, follow-up, and patient management remains with the patient’s treating clinician or healthcare provider.

Any action taken based on a Hospitual report or opinion must be discussed with an appropriate treating clinician before any healthcare decision is made.

7.  Patient Acknowledgement

By using this service, you confirm that:

  • You are aged 18 years or over
  • You understand that Hospitual does not currently provide services to individuals under 18
  • You understand that the service is supplementary and second-opinion in nature
  • You understand that the service does not replace direct clinical care
