Web Accessibility Statement

HOSPITUAL LIMITED (trading as “Hospitual”)

Hospitual Limited is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We continuously work to improve the usability, clarity, and accessibility of our digital services and aim to align with recognised accessibility standards wherever reasonably practicable.

Our Commitment

We aim to ensure that our website is accessible to as many users as possible, including individuals who:

  • Use screen readers, magnifiers, or other assistive technologies
  • Navigate using keyboard-only input or voice recognition software
  • Have visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive impairments

We aim to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as far as reasonably practicable.

Accessibility Features

Our platform includes the following accessibility features:

  • Responsive design for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
  • High-contrast colour usage and readable typography
  • Consistent page structure and predictable navigation
  • Proper heading hierarchy to support assistive technologies
  • Alternative text for meaningful images where applicable
  • Keyboard-accessible forms, buttons, and navigation elements

Accessibility Governance, Testing & Review

Accessibility is embedded within our quality and governance framework.

We undertake the following assurance activities:

  • Periodic internal accessibility reviews of key user journeys
  • Usability testing of core clinical and booking workflows
  • Checks against WCAG 2.1 AA principles during website updates
  • Review of accessibility impact for any new third-party integrations
  • Remediation tracking for identified accessibility issues

Where external platforms or third-party systems are used (e.g. booking tools or clinical systems), we assess their accessibility impact and escalate issues to providers where required.

Accessibility findings and improvements are reviewed as part of our broader Clinical Governance and Quality Assurance framework, alongside other patient safety and digital risk controls.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas may not yet fully meet accessibility standards:

  • Older PDF documents may not be fully accessible
  • Certain third-party tools (e.g. external booking systems or imaging platforms) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control

We actively work with suppliers to improve accessibility where possible.
